NOW THE 'Bajes Kwartier', THE PROJECT IS LOCATED IN THE VIBRANT CITY OF Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
OUR VISION AND APPROACH
WE ENVISION A DESIGN THAT INTEGRATES PRODUCTION WITH THE COMMUNITY BY CREATING MULTIFUNCTIONAL SPACES. WE HAVE FOCUSED ON A HYPOTHETICAL VERSION OF THE SELECTED TOWER, WHERE A REALISTIC YET COMPLEX SYSTEM IS IN PLACE, COMBINING TECHNOLOGY AND CIRCULAR BUSINESS STRATEGIES TO SELF SUSTAIN A PROJECT THAT OFFERS SOCIAL AND ESTHETIC VALUE TO EVERYONE.
DESCRIBE - EXPLAIN - EXPLORE - REDESIGN
OUR WORKING METHODOLOGY IS BASED IN STUDY SYSTEMS USED BY ACADEMIA. TO CREATE WE MUST UNDERSTAND FIRST. OUR PROCESS STARTS WITH DATA GATHERING THROUGH FIELD VISITS, SURVEYS, AND NETWORKING WITH LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS.
FURTHER ON, WE DEFINE THE CONDITIONS OF MAKES THE 'Bajes Kwartier' BASED ON OUR DATA COLLECTION. WE EXPLAIN THE CONDITIONS TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PICTURE IN SITE MEANS, AND IDENTIFYING THE BEST OPPORTUNITIES POR IMPROVEMENT.
THE NEXT STEP, AND THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE, IS A WORKSHOP OF DESIGN PROPOSALS. THIS ARE REVISED THROUGH INSIDE FILTERS AMOG THE TEAM MEMBERS. DIFFERENT PROPOSALS ARE MADE, BUT ONLY THE ONES THAT ARE INTEGRATED IN ALL SOCIAL, BUSINESS, PRODUCTIVE, AND DESIGN ARE FINALLY SELECTED.
THE FINAL PHASE. CURRENTLY WE WORK ON MAKING THE BEST IDEAS A REALITY IN A FINAL DESIGN. THIS IS WHAT WE WORK FOR WITH COOPERATION OF OUTSIDE EXPERTISE AND IMPORTANT STAKEHOLDERS. CO-CREATION IS THE FUNDAMENTAL WORKLINE WE FOLLOW.
greenspark is a team of individuals with diverse backgrounds and expertise. we operate through a system of 4 subgroups: social team, business team, technical/production team, and design team.
each team has taken each aspect of the greenhouse design respectively. through periodical group meetings in our workshop each team has delivered progressively their ideas. during this meetings important decision making processes occur, where final ideas are selected together, and a general understanding of the stage of the design and the path to take is shared. this is how we make our diverse criteria count, and this is where our trust as a group is fundamental.
shaping our design
our vision has been transformed into what we can only describe for now: a multi layered system, that provides space for important social interactions, that is inclusive and operates with a realistic business plan, and envisioned to be multiplied and adaptable through a methodology.
